AI assistant

The assistant gives no legal advice and does not calculate the tariff — fees come from the tariff tables. Legal judgment and responsibility stay with the lawyer.

01The problem

Cases, deadlines and documents live in five different tools.

Cases in Excel, deadlines in a diary, documents in folders and billing in a separate spreadsheet work — until the office grows. Then the same information lives in five places, and time goes into searching instead of legal work.

02The approach

One system. The whole office.

The case is at the centre: client, deadlines, documents, tariff, invoices, team and AI all attach to it — entered once, visible wherever it is needed.

  1. 01

    Cases

Client, opposing party, court, case number, value in dispute, deadlines, documents and notes on one screen — numbered per office and area.

  2. 02

    Clients

Natural and legal persons, each with all of their cases in one place.

  3. 03

    Deadlines

Hearings, deadlines and meetings in the office calendar, linked to the case and the responsible person.

  4. 04

    Documents

Private storage attached to the case, with no public links to files.

  5. 05

    Team

Lawyer and secretary roles, each within their own permissions; deleting records is reserved for the lawyer.

  6. 06

    Tariff & invoices

Fees under the bar tariff with a trace of every correction, and invoices linked to payments and the remaining balance.

03Interface

Fast. Clear. Nothing superfluous.

Lawyer and secretary work in the same system, each in their own role. The case history shows what changed, when and by whom.

04AI assistant

An assistant that speeds work up — and never decides.

It prepares overviews, checklists and drafts from the office’s own data. Every suggestion is reviewed; nothing is written or sent on its own.

  1. 01

    Daily overview

What needs doing today, drawn from cases, deadlines and hearings.

  2. 02

    Hearing preparation

What is in the file, what is missing and what to check before the next hearing.

  3. 03

    Missing data

Gaps and likely entry errors across cases, flagged for correction.

  4. 04

    Drafts

Draft messages, letters and notes — a starting point the lawyer edits.

  5. 05

    Document import

Entries proposed from an uploaded document, as cards the lawyer confirms.

The assistant gives no legal advice and does not calculate the tariff — fees come from the tariff tables. Legal judgment and responsibility stay with the lawyer.

05Security

Concrete controls, stated precisely.

Every control listed here exists in the product today; what is planned is called a plan.

  • Isolation per office

PostgreSQL Row Level Security keeps each office’s clients, cases, documents and invoices invisible to every other office — even outside the app.

  • Accounts and roles

A personal sign-in for every user; a deactivated account loses access immediately, checked in the database itself.

  • Private documents

No public links: downloads go through a server-side function after account, office and role checks.

  • AI with minimal data

In the assistant, emails, phone numbers, JMBG and account numbers are masked before text reaches the AI service, which is called from the server.

06DEUS’s role

Built end to end, in-house.

Pametni Advokat is DEUS Engineering’s own product, developed and maintained in-house: product definition, interface, data model and access rules, AI integration and operations. The same process and standards apply to client work.

07Product FAQ

About Pametni Advokat.

Who is Pametni Advokat for?

Solo attorneys, small offices and offices with teams in Serbia. It is built for domestic practice: case areas, case numbering and the bar tariff.

What can it do?

Cases and clients, hearings and deadlines, private documents, fee calculation under the bar tariff, invoices and payments, and an AI assistant with AI document import — for lawyer and secretary roles.

Does the AI make legal decisions?

No. It prepares overviews, checklists and drafts from case data. It gives no legal advice and writes, deletes or sends nothing without the lawyer’s decision.

How is client data protected?

Each office’s data is isolated in the database with PostgreSQL Row Level Security, documents are stored privately without public links, and AI processing runs only with the office’s consent, with personal identifiers masked in the assistant.

How can I see it?
